The Abou Bekr Belkaid University of Tlemcen, in collaboration with the Constitutional Court, organized the second national symposium entitled “The Functional Relationship between the Constitutional Court and Public Institutions (Parliament – Judiciary)” on the occasion of Knowledge Day, April 16, 2025, under the high patronage of the President of the Republic.

The symposium was officially opened by Mr. Omar Belhadj, President of the Constitutional Court, in the presence of high-ranking figures such as the Wali of Tlemcen Province, the university's rector, the First President of the Supreme Court, as well as members of parliament, magistrates, and professors from various universities.

This symposium aimed to shed light on the role of the Constitutional Court in protecting rights and freedoms, as well as its functional relationship with Parliament and the judiciary, within the framework of strengthening the rule of law. It included scientific sessions and academic presentations delivered by magistrates, parliamentarians, and professors, addressing both theoretical and practical aspects of the topic.

This academic event is part of a series of national symposiums initiated by the Constitutional Court to promote awareness of its functions and to foster a culture of constitutional review within the Algerian academic community.
